General Sales Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions of sale apply to all adult customers with the right to sign and to all products sold via Chicca.ch, Chicca.art or to advertisements published on third-party platforms and third-party websites.
Brands, signatures and labels
Chicca only sells authentic items from the past and original second-hand design objects. However, we cannot guarantee that every item sold will have the original label or a brand, as the manufacturers or designers did not always sign the items produced in the past. The absence of a reference does not necessarily result in a lower value of the item.
Prices and discounts
The selling price depends on the rarity of the object, the age, the conditions, the market price or the method of despatch. Our prices are usually fixed and competitive, not always negotiable.
Condition of the object
Most antique and vintage items show the marks and patina of time. Our staff, who are responsible for the purchase, undertake to select the best items and to scrupulously check the actual conditions of the item put up for sale and to report any defects, dents, breakages or faults to the customer immediately, before the sale is finalised.
Shipping and delivery
Our items can be shipped or delivered by hand if they are valuable or fragile. Shipping or delivery costs for the whole of Switzerland are calculated depending on the shipping method, whether Economy or Priority, as well as the size and weight of the packaging. The shipping costs are between 25 CHF and 45 CHF and the hand delivery costs between 50 CHF and 120 CHF depending on the delivery location. In some cases, shipping may be included in the sale price or discounted for multiple purchases. The dispatch takes place within 5-7 working days after confirmation of payment.
Shipping abroad
In addition, not all items can be shipped abroad, in particular furniture and larger items must be collected by the buyer. For deliveries outside Switzerland and the Eurozone, import duties may be charged to the customer.
Special packaging
The Chicca shop charges packaging costs for fragile items that require appropriate and specific packaging with a customised box, bubble wrap, paper, sponge and filling material. The packaging costs are usually added to the shipping price.
Cargo insurance and Fragile
The shipped goods can only be insured if they are sent by Priority with a surcharge of 6.50 CHF Optionally, the goods can also be sent as Fragile with a surcharge of 6.95 swiss francs.
Payments
To avoid empty runs for unpaid items, costs and last-minute price negotiations, the item customers wish to purchase must be paid for in advance. We accept bank transfer or Postfinance as means of payment. As more people may be interested in the same property, the item can only be reserved for the time required to pay for the item. Payment must be made within a few days of receiving our invoice.
Import taxes for deliveries or shipping outside Switzerland
We are not responsible for fees that the buyer has to pay in the form of taxes or customs duties.
Retention of goods
The goods remain the property of Chicca until the full payment.
Returns and refunds
We accept returns within 10 working days of delivery and only for items that do not match the images published on the Chicca listings or shop website. In this case, should a shipping error occur, the returned item will be refunded within 1 working week. If the parcel is lost during shipping, the amount paid will be refunded in full. In exceptional cases, for example in the event of an incorrect purchase by the customer, we can refund the amount paid by the buyer minus the shipping costs to and from the customer. Chicca is not a retailer of brands such as Cassina, Vitra, Knoll etc. All items sold in the Chicca Shop are second-hand items. For this reason, we ask the potential buyer to evaluate their purchase based on the dimensions of the object, the colour, the conditions and, if suitable for the use in question.

Warranty
The item sold is sold in the condition in which it is found. As it is a used, vintage or antique item, no guarantee is given. The pictures or videos of the object of purchase are part of these conditions of sale.
Use of customer data
Customer informations as well email, address etc. is used solely for Invoice, payment confirmation and to ship the item. Customer data is and remains confidential.
Messages and confirmations
For each purchase, the Chicca shop sends the customer an e-mail with an attached invoice, a payment confirmation and a dispatch confirmation.
